Flying? I’d bring some masks [Swine Flu]

On my last flight, the girl sitting next to me coughed non-stop. I promised myself, “the next time I fly, I’m going to bring masks”–some to offer to people coughing around me and one for myself. Now with the concern of Swine Flu, I thought I’d make a point of suggesting it to all air travelers. Even after this dies down, I think I’m going to add masks to my pre-flight checklist. You can purchase these at drug and hardware stores.

So if someone has it on the plane will everyone get sick as well? Is there a specific type of mask or tolerance that the mask should have regarding the size of the pores in the mask? When I was in Beijing in 2003 3M was the only company making masks that had pores small enough to stop SARS.

    Good idea though.
